I’m Juliana Mackin, the founder and lead designer at Hemenway House Interiors. I grew up in North Carolina in a family of furniture makers, historic preservationists, hobbyist interior designers and old house enthusiasts. Hemenway House was founded after my husband’s and my own venture into house restoration, restoring a historic 1807 federal colonial. During the process I fell head over heels in love with turning every space into something functional, beautiful and full of character. After 20 years of working in public relations agencies, I finally feel at home helping clients bring their visions and inspirations to life.

At Hemenway House, our aesthetic is a unique blend of our NC roots, love for historic homes and living abroad in England. We love vintage finds, colorful accents, rustic warmth, and mixed textures, patterns and fabrics to make every space - no matter how big or small - unique to you.
